Non Physiotherapy Insurance

We offer our specialist professional and public liability insurance scheme to over 500 therapy & complementary therapy occupations, many of which can be included together within the same price. This also includes physiotherapists performing additional activities outside the CSP’s scope of practice, which cannot be included in the members PLI cover.

Although access to the scheme is not conditional upon membership of any Professional Body or Association, practitioners will need to produce evidence of appropriate qualifications to demonstrate training and competency in their chosen field(s).

This cover is underwritten by Royal and Sun Alliance using their latest worldwide civil liability wording, with levels of cover and options to suit individual requirements. The policy covers all previous work of a similar nature, subject to any new claims being reported for the first time during the currency of this policy.

There is no excess to pay on either compensation claims or the legal defence costs necessarily incurred to protect the therapists interests. In addition, when therapists cease to practice the policy will automatically provide run off cover for up to 3 years to deal with any claims from earlier work, at no extra cost.
