CSP PLI Scheme

The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) provides Professional Liability Insurance (PLI) as part of membership benefits. The cover applies to all members resident and practicing in the United Kingdom, regardless of their employment status. The cover operates anywhere in the world with restrictions in Australia, USA and Canada, for all activities within the CSP scope of practice, provided members have been appropriately trained and are competent in their chosen speciality. Members must retain CSP membership and HPC Registration at the time of treatment.

The standard level of cover is currently £5million, which may be increased to £10million as a separate option. Members qualified to perform non physiotherapy treatments may also apply for separate insurance to cover these additional activities. Members forming businesses may also protect their companies by arranging separate business liability cover (see options below)
