Members Legal Expenses Insurance Scheme

This cover applies only to Members ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom and provides Legal Assistance 365 days a year, 24 hours a day on business, occupational or legal matters relating to the following:-

• Personal Injury - where Members sustain personal injuries resulting from an accident, this policy will provide legal support and advice as well as generous insurance limits to pursue claims for compensation
• Employment Disputes – where Members are involved in disputes with their employers as a result of an infringement of rights, legal advice and support is available on a 24 hour helpline together with legal costs to pursue potential claims for compensation
• Motoring Prosecution – if Members have been accused or charged with motoring offences alleged to have been committed during the course of their employment, this section offers members support to defend a criminal prosecution.

It should be noted that the maximum sum insured is limited to £50,000 and excludes the first £250 of costs involving employment disputes.
